Coaching with Tushar

COACHING

One goal per session, measured every time. Here's how I coach, what each format costs, and what to expect before you step on court.

How I Coach

The same three-part loop runs through every session, whatever your level.

1

Assess

I watch you play before I change anything. Footwork, grip, contact point, decisions under pressure. We agree the one thing that will move your game most.

2

Fix

Focused drills that isolate the fault, with immediate feedback. You'll know exactly what "right" feels like before we add speed or pressure.

3

Pressure-test

Conditioned games that force the new skill to show up in real rallies. You leave knowing what improved, and what we're doing next session.

Session Formats

Three ways to train. All at our Wembley venue, all built on the same method.

🏸 Private Lessons

The fastest way to improve. A full hour of my attention on your game, whether you're a complete beginner or a league player stuck on a plateau.

  • Personal technical work: grips, swings, contact points, footwork patterns
  • Multi-shuttle feeding so you get more quality repetitions per hour than any club night
  • A written note after each session: what we fixed, what to practise
£ TBC / hour + court hire

👥 Pairs & Doubles

Bring a partner, teammate, friend or family member. Ideal for doubles pairs who want to win together, and a lower cost per player than one-to-one.

  • Rotation and positioning: who takes what, and when to switch
  • Serve and return routines that start rallies on your terms
  • Attacking patterns and defensive shape as a pair
£ TBC / hour, shared between two

🎯 Group Sessions

A weekly small-group session for players who want to improve alongside others. Same night, same group, so the standard rises together, and places are limited.

  • Structured drills with a technical theme each week
  • Conditioned games and match play against varied opponents
  • Group size capped at TBC so everyone gets coached, not just supervised
£ TBC / player / week

Your First Assessment

Every new player starts here, whatever the format. 60 minutes, no obligation to continue.

1

You play

Rallies, feeds and a short conditioned game while I watch. No drills yet, I need to see your real game first.

2

We prioritise

I show you the three changes that will move your game most, and demonstrate the difference on court so you can feel it, not just hear it.

3

You get a plan

A written plan: what we'd work on, in what order, and roughly how long it should take. Take it away, or book your first block.

Inside a Session

Watch how I coach before you book: a full session on court, plus short technique breakdowns.

Common Questions

I've never played before. Is coaching for me?

Yes, and honestly, beginners improve fastest. Starting with proper grips and footwork means you never have to unlearn bad habits later. Your first assessment is adapted to your level: we find your starting point, not test you against one.

Where do sessions happen?

At the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill, 54 Forty Lane, Wembley HA9 9LY, a few minutes' walk from Wembley Park station (Jubilee and Metropolitan lines). Parking details TBC.

Do I need my own racket and shuttles?

Bring a racket if you have one; if not, I have spares you can borrow while you decide what suits you. I provide shuttles for all coaching sessions (arrangement TBC). Wear indoor court shoes, running shoes mark the floor and don't grip.

Do you coach juniors?

Yes. I coach ambitious juniors working towards club and county level, and beginners who just want to love the sport. Parents are welcome courtside. DBS check, safeguarding & first aid certificates TBC.

How often should I book?

Most players see steady progress on one session a week plus one club night of match play. That's why coaching students get first invites to the Supersonic club: the lesson builds the skill, the club night makes it stick.

What if I need to cancel?

Life happens. Give me 24 hours' notice and we'll rearrange at no cost (full policy TBC).
